Employer reporting inaccurate and/or falsifying w2’s & w4’s, cuts year off early causing skewed total figures and not calculating required deductions. Who do I talk to?
Known something off since 2017 & finally caught it this year as I started preparing for my tax return at year end 2018. Found employer cuts year end off early, at least since I’ve been there, not including the last few days of December. This in turn inaccurately reports ALL total figured, including wages, taxable income, and taxes paid. End result every single time has been getting basically nothing back from my tax return which I know is wrong. Tried to find out why after filing 2018 taxes and found they have my w-4 down with an exemption that I never authorized or completed as it’s been 0 my entire life & still should be. Ignored my request to correct and still stands incorrect on file as of today. Last, taxable income figures were incorrectly reported as required deductions were not taken into account. Lastly, they are shorting employees on earned overtime 2 separate ways, with 1 being splitting the overtime total in half into 2 separate categories which enables them to save on taxes. I’m in an extremely difficult spot as I’m still an employee, have tried addressing and got the run around or ignored completely, 2x refusal to reimburse me for having to use my personal cell phone for work, and although I have no plans of resigning, this is not right and I am entitled to everything mentioned and I want this stopped. Who can I talk to??
