Yes, that is what is strange - it is always only the state, but no common state. If you go to File -> Print you can select Federal and/or state. Fed always seems to print, but state hangs - it is a mystery.
(I keep trying to print state hoping to get it to hang so I can rune the Activity Monitor "spin dump" tool to try to get a dump of the hung process to forward to the developers to analyze.)
