My nephew was taken out of home by dhr and my mother "whom lives with me and my oldest nephew also taken out of parents custody 8years ago"was awarded full custody of younger brother over 3 years ago.in 2015 I claimed the youngest nephew and the father of the child also did. We were audited and I was awarded full tax refund. Every year my sister and her husband get someone different to claim my nephew,and because they efile first,they always get a refund.i also get a refund after mailing mine in. But this year mine was efiled and rejected, but because we needed the money and it was suggested to me to take him off so I could efile,then after receiving refund I was told to amend my tax return and mail it in along with all the proof to show he's lived with me and the custody papers along with a stack of other documents. I'm worried because I didn't mail it in,and took him off that it's not gonna help me by amending my taxes.
