Yes, you can change your deduction to match your spouses. The IRS requires Married Filing Separately taxpayers to both use either the Standard Deduction or Itemized Deductions.
- Go to Federal in the black left-hand side menu
- Click on Deductions and Credits
- Scroll down to the bottom and click on Wrap up tax breaks
- Walkthrough the screens until it tells you you are taking Standard or itemized deductions
- On that page, there is a link to change the deduction method you are using "Change My Deduction"
