If this is preventing you from e-filing you can delete it from the 1099-INT section and enter it as other miscellaneous income. If you have foreign tax on the interest to report , then this will not be an option if you want to claim the credit.
- Click on Federal on the left hand side of the screen
- Click on Wages & Income
- Scroll down and click on All Income if Needed
- Scroll down to Less Common Income
- Scroll down to Miscellaneous Income, Click Start
- Scroll down to Other reportable Income
- Click start
- Enter description and amount
