Make sure your home address is listed and that you have not checked the box that you lived or earned money in any other state. If this section is not complete, that would explain the prompt. When you have your return open, click on Personal Info at the top (My Info on the left if using TurboTax Online).
Click Edit next to these 3 sections and verify everything is correct:
- Name - Check your state of residence and the question following about living in another state.
- Mailing Address and Phone Number
- Other State Income
