The 1095-A form is for people who have health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace, often called an exchange. This form is to reconcile your Premium Tax Credit; you claim it by filing Form 8962 with your tax return. You'll need your Form 1095-A to fill out this form. You will have to file an amended tax return to enter the information om Form 1095-A to reconcile your Premium Tax Credits. This may either increase or decrease your tax liability depending on the difference of your advanced tax credit taken and the actual tax credit you are eligible for.
