Form 8936, Qualified Plug-in Electric Drive Motor Vehicle Credit should be available in TurboTax on 02/12/2020. The IRS has to finalize the form and approve it for e-filing before the form is available on TurboTax.
Once the form is available, follow the steps to claim the credit:
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Federal Taxes.
- Go to Deductions and Credits.
- Scroll down to Cars and Other Things You Own and click show more.
- Scroll down to Energy-Efficient Vehicles.
