Get your taxes done using TurboTax
We filed a married, joint return in 2018 through Turbotax. When asked by Turbotax this year what my AGI was from last year, I entered the amount of AGI that I found on last years return and Turbo tax said that it was correct. There was not a question asking for the AGI for my wife. Since we filed a joint return, I assume that TurboTax used the same AGI for my wife. My 2019 return is being rejected by the IRS because the PIN/AGI reported by my wife does not match their records. I found a work sheet from the 2019 tax return where a PIN was not listed for my wife. I entered my PIN number as I filled out the forms last year and did not enter separate PINs. How can I know what number TurboTax used for the AGI for my wife for this year. If it is incorrect, can I change it? How? If it is correct, I can only conclude that I have to file by mail.
