While filing my spouses info it is asking me for the 1040 amount. He has a w2 for half the year and a 1099 for the other half. Do I add both amounts for the 1040 information or do I just put the w2 info. He hasnt done his yet and I do not want to screw up and ignore the 1099 if I was supposed to add it together
