Thank you for your quick response and insight. Here are some extra details:
-she had no W2 income
-she married in late November
-she moved out a week afterwards
-Turbotax asked us about her details and cleared her as a dependent for our (her parents) tax return
Now her husband is filing his tax return and is running into problems. So, my question was can't he just file married and jointly, but when it comes to her info, her income will be $0 and she will have been claimed as a dependent elsewhere?
