I am in similar situation now. I have been filing my tax return using turbo tax for ages. I got married in feb 2019 with my wife who has been here on visitors Visa. I am filing my 2019 tax return jointly. She doesn't have SSN and IRS won't give her ITIN number unless I submit my return along with W7 form. Turbo tax needs her SSN or ITIN number before I can file the tax. It seems I can not file electronically. I need to add some fake number, print it out my tax return and erase it and submit it in the IRS office
