Take note that your return is not fully processed until *AFTER* you have received any refund due.

A dependent can not file a joint return, and can not claim dependents of their own. So at this time your daughter must remove the dependent from her return and she just select the option for "I can be claimed on someone else's return". Understand that it does not matter if you the parent actually claim her or not on your return. If she "QUALIFIES" as your dependent (and I'm sure she does) then your daughter has no choice but to select the option for "I can be claimed on someone else's return."

Being that your daughter was under the age of 19 (not 18) if she is living at home with you and she did not provide more than half of her own support, that makes her your qualifying dependent. It does not matter how much money your daughter earned in 2019 either. She could have earned a million dollars, but if *YOUR DAUGHTER" did not provide more than half of "HER OWN" support, she qualifies as your dependent weather you actually claim her or not.

There is no requirement for you the parent to provide any support. Not one penny. The support requirement is on your daughter, and only your daughter.
