You don't need to be worried, you can amend your return to report the 1095-A( Health Insurance Marketplace Statement).This form is required for taxpayers who received advance payments of the premium tax credit.
If your return has been submitted, wait until the IRS accept or reject the return. If the return gets rejected you can add the 1095-A form and resubmitted again.
If the IRS accept the return, wait until it is fully processed and you received your refund (if you are expecting a refund ) then amend the return.
Here's how you can amend your return:
- Sign in to you account.
- Scroll down to Your tax return & documents , select 2019 and then Amend (change) return.
- Select Amend using TurboTax Online.
- Follow the instructions, your refund or tax due will change to 0. This is normal on amended returns.
To add form 1095-A:
- Log in to your account.
- Go to Federal Taxes.
- Go to Deductions and Credits.
- Scroll down to Medical and click show more.
- Click on Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).
