It is possible that the mortgage interest was inadvertently entered twice. You should delete the forms and re-enter.
To delete, follow these steps:
- Click on Tax Tools from the menu on the left
- Click on Tools
- Choose Delete a Form
- Scroll through the listed documents until you find 1098 or Home Mortgage Interest Worksheet
- Delete each form
Then, return to the Deductions & Credits section under your Federal return and re-enter the mortgage interest information.
