Nanny made under $2200 last year, confused on how to do taxes with this
I paid in cash weekly to my nanny, and it varied on how many days of the week she worked. She worked for 4 months but because of her kids getting sick or my husband or I off from work she worked her full week (4 days a week) like half the time and only worked 6 hour a day. I told her I would pay the entire 15.3% of taxes and paid her based on those taxes already taken out and put it in a savings account. I thought it would be easier.
Well now she's asking for a W-2, and I have an EIN and a business service online account, but it's asking for all these other forms to fax in like SS4 or 941, and I don't know what these even are and don't have time to get a tax person involved. Because my life was hectic with sicknesses and job hunting and a bunch of other stuff I had to wait until last minute. I don't know if I should just not provide her a W-2, or if we just file the H2 form. I'm so confused
