Yours is the only post I have seen with this complaint so if it was systemic thousands would have posted about this issue.
Next ... once you click on the submit button your return goes to a holding server while it waits for the feds & state to fetch the returns for acceptance and processing. Turbotax has nothing to do with this process so if the returns were filed late it was not a TT problem. One should never wait until the last minutes to file because the system cannot handle the flood of filers and some will simply be late. So look again at the times you submitted the returns and the time it was accepted for processing. Also review the emails ... was it rejected ?
