Programming error in 2018 Oregon Electronic filing
In 2018 Tax year I completed the electronic filing exactly as the Turbo Tax software instructed. It was accepted by Oregon Revenue Service on Jan 28, 2019. However, instead of getting a timely refund, I received a letter dated February 21, 2019 from the ORS stating they did not have a record of my Form 1099-R, which is the military retirement equivalent of a W-2. I had to mail them the 1099_R, which more or less caused me to lose the cost of electronic filing. Because of this Turbo Tax software error, it would have been cheaper and faster if I had just mailed my Oregon return, instead of electronically filing it with your software.
I'm writing to request you correct this problem in the 2019 tax year, so that the Oregon Dept of Revenue gets the 1099-R in the electronic filing, and does not have to slow the whole process by requesting a 1099-R through the mail, well after the return has been electronically filed and accepted. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Please respond to me, when you are able.
