I zeroed out the "2017 tax liability for purpose of 2210" box, and that resulted in the TT prompts telling me that no underpayment penalty was due. This seemed to work, because when I went to the Forms view, the Form 2210 was no longer there. I then efiled my return. Waiting to hear if it has been accepted. I too was a little worried about filing this way, but I have no confidence in TT. Their date for the software fix for this problem keeps moving out. And I am certain that I have no underpayment penalty due. I've paid far too much in additional payments throughout 2018 and am getting a sizable refund.
