This didn't work for me as the "Possible Penalty Exception" didn't show up. I did try zeroing out my 2017 tax liability "for the purpose of Form 2210", and that did work; however, I would rather not put it in this way, so I will wait for the TT update on 3/8. At this point I'm mostly just curious as to whether TT/Intuit can actually solve this problem, as I have a very simple return and could easily file with paper, although I'd rather do it electronically.
