Get your taxes done using TurboTax
Okay - I did what ianexpenses suggested (2 comments above ) - walked through the steps under "Other Tax Situations" - "Underpayment Penalty", and don't get to a place where I can manually enter underpayment penalty. What I get is "You don't owe an underpayment penalty. However, Form 2210 Underpayment of Estimated Taxes must be filed with your tax return." I totally meet the exception of paying at least 110% of the previous years' taxes, and IRS instructions for Line 23 basically say I don't need to file form 2210. Since the way TT completes that form doesn't seem to match the fact that I don't owe an underpayment penalty, why does it say that I have to file it?
