Get your taxes done using TurboTax

Okay, so funny story- not really, but never mind that s**t. My Schedule E shows my royalties three times over, two as rent for properties [hint: I don't own any properties, or else I wouldn't live in this shoe box of an apartment], and added them all up. Hilariously- also not actually, the tripled total still would be less than the amount I had paid Tax ACT to file a Schedule E when their software last year refused to let me manually enter my book royalties into the form despite their being a tab for that.

So, this is something I can't blame on Turbo Tax at least, and reaffirms why I'll never use g****mn Tax ACT again. Not having a mortgage, a credit card, or a student loan, I couldn't get the IRS to electronically get my AGI for the year in question, because debit cards don't count for s**t in this century.

But, when the mailed version of the documents came in today [per timestamp of this reply] I found out the above goof from my Schedule E. Can't say if your problem is the same, but I'm betting it's some Mickey Mouse thing jacking with your AGI number that you likely didn't cause for yourself.

With the update my 2018 taxes were accepted by the IRS.
