Taxpayers portion of 1095A on medical worksheet?
I'm trying to figure out if I can deduct the $500 I paid in after-tax dollars to pay for medical premium costs not covered by the Obamacare subsidy.
On the medical worksheet, there is a line 2a that shows the portions of premiums I paid. Then there is a line 2b that says it's for "taxpayer's portion of 1095-A premiums,"and it also says something on line 2b about what portion on the 1095-A is you're versus your spouse's. I'm single. I have no idea where the number on line 2b which says $1162 is coming from or what it represents. It's not coming from the 1095-A from what I can see?
I'm trying to figure out if the $500 I had to pay out of pocket is shown anywhere on the 1095-A, maybe as part of the $1162 somehow?
