If the both of you had Tricare from February -December of 2017, then you had Medicaid in January of 2017. You would not need to enter any details from your insurance forms from both Tricare and Medicaid, neither are Marketplace Insurance plans however, they both qualify as health care coverage.
Please follow the steps below to report the coverage:
- Sign into your Online account and select Take me to my return.
- Next select Federal in the left side panel
-
Select Health Insurance at the top of the screen.
- The first question will ask Did you all have health insurance in 2017?
- Select the option that says I'll who had it and which months and select Continue
-
The next question will ask Select the months each of you had insurance in 2017.
- You will select all 12 months and it sounds as if the other person had it 11 months.
- Continue through the screens to the question Was anyone covered by any of these plans in 2017?, select No and Continue.
-
That is all that we need on your 2017 coverage.
