You don't have to enter the HSA contribution or withdrawal information on your return since they cannot be used to claim the tax credit.
Just because you cannot use your HSA to claim the tax credit, there were advantages for you to having an HSA.
The deducted money was withdrawn as pre-tax money, which meant you didn't pay taxes on it.
Also, your distributions for the plan, if used for medical expenses was not taxed as well.
