Thanks. However, 90% of our independent contractor earnings are under my SSN, and only 10% is under my spouse's SSN. If we split our business expenses (ie. mileage) equally, then wouldn't that be an issue since my spouse's 1099-misc will only have a small percentage of our total earnings?
