I m married; 1 job - annual salary < $100k; Spouse does not work; 1 child - just 1 yr old.W4 worksheet tells total deductions is 6. A,B,C,D-1 each and G-2. Is this right?
I am married. Spouse does not work.
Have 1 job.
Annual Salary < $100k.
1 child who is just an year old.
No one can claim me as their dependent. No on can claim my wife as their dependent.
I think I can claim 6 deductions. 1 each for A, B, C, D and 2 for G in the W-4 worksheet.
But most places I read they suggest to claim 3, 1 for each of us. I don't want to end up owing taxes at the end of the year. And I want lesser withholdings possible. Please suggest if I can claim 6.
