I am in the US on an R-1 visa can I get my children tax payer id numbers for my dependent area of the Tax form

I got an Eearned Income Credit but it says to qualify I have to have taxpayer identification numbers or ss numbers for my children.  My husband does not have an SS number as he is here as a student and my children are hear with us on our visa.
