If you are using TurboTax CD/Download, you will start a new return by doing the following:
- Open your TurboTax program.
- From
the File menu in the
upper left corner, choose New Tax
Return.
- That's
it! You are ready to start working on a new return.
If you are using TurboTax Online, you will do the following:

Select the TurboTax Online product you want to use for the return and
proceed.
- On
the Create your account screen,
set up a new login if necessary (if you already have an account, just sign in using the user name and password that you created for that account)
- That's
it! You are ready to start working on a new return.
