I'm sorry for your loss. To prepare a return for him, unless you have access to his TurboTax account from last year, you should start a brand new account with a distinct username and password. You can use your email address, but you need a new account for him. You can't, for instance, use your own account to prepare his return.
If you set him up with just his SSN, name, and other personal info, then you shouldn't be on this return at all. Please respond with more information if you need specific instructions.
