Get your taxes done using TurboTax

You should prepare and submit your 2016 tax return as soon as possible.  You can still e-file your 2016 return.

While the April 18, 2017 deadline has passed it will not matter if you get a refund; however if you will owe additional taxes the IRS will charge interest and penalties based on having missed the April 18 date.

You can purchase CD (or Download) from TTax at this link:

Please be aware that the current screen graphics display make it somewhat confusing regarding Windows or MAC and whether you want a CD or download.   Please read carefully; the choice to order a CD is shown in much smaller letters.

Check your local big-box stores or their on-line equivalents.  They generally charge less than TTax charges for direct purchases.

You can no longer prepare (or continue) a tax return for 2015 (or earlier) on-line; also the IRS is
no longer accepting e-files for 2015 (or earlier returns).

Returns for previous year(s) MUST be PRINTED and MAILED.  Only the current tax year 2016 can be prepared on-line; only the current tax year 2016 can be e-filed.

You can purchase the Desktop version (each year that you need to file) of TTax for previous years at the link below and install it on your own computer.

When mailing a printed return it is always a good idea to go to the Post Office and mail it 'Certified' with 'Return Receipt'.  That way you will have proof that they received it and when it was received.

When mailing your tax return(s) NEVER put more than one return in an envelope,  if you put more than one return in the envelope there is a good chance that they will be treated as a single return and thus delay any action.
