Hello, I live and work abroad in the UK fulltime. I'm filing my taxes using TurboTax however I was married last year to a Romanian woman. In the taxes they ask if I'm married and if I am they require me to enter a Social Security Number. But my wife obviously doesn't have one. What should I do?
A couple other issues I have:
- I wish I could discuss this issue over the phone but your system doesn't accept international numbers (I obviously can't be reached at a US number)
- Your system seems to imply that my wife is required to file a US tax return even though she's not a citizen. Could you clarify?
