It depends on which version of TurboTax you are using
to prepare the returns.
If you are using TurboTax Online, you will need to start a new account for each
return.

If you are using TurboTax
CD/Download then you can e-file up
to five federal tax returns (You can prepare as many returns as you want, but only five can be
e-filed), so you would not have to
purchase the CD/Download again.
