If you mail in your return, Intuit has no knowledge of or control over how you actually send it in. You print your returns, then mail them directly to the IRS and state authorities; only they will have a record of receiving them. TurboTax doesn't move past "Ready to Mail" because it has no way of knowing whether or not you actually mailed them.
