In the online versions, self-employed can be used by a person needing to file for a sole proprietorship and/or single-member LLC that needs to complete Schedule C. Otherwise, Premier and Self-Employed are the same.
In the CD/Download versions, the one known as "self-employed" in online is called Home & Business. Both Premier and Home & Business can handle all situations that TT can handle but H&B has a much more detailed interview when it comes to the sole proprietorship/single-member LLC Schedule C.
