A window will pop up that shows the fees
And to have the fees deducted from your federal refund is an EXTRA 34.99 Refund Processing Fee (39.99 in California). Or you can pay with a credit card and avoid the extra charge.
IT IS NOT A FEE TO GET YOUR REFUND OR TO EFILE OR TO GET DIRECT DEPOSIT. It is an Optional service.
