If you have received a 1099-MISC or not and you would like to know how to enter your non-employee compensation earned income, please follow these steps.
- From your Online TurboTax account, start from Tax Home.
- Click on the blue box Take me to my return
- Click on the top right Search icon, then type in 1099misc, or type in the 1099 you have such as 1099r, 1099g, etc.
- A list will appear, then select the Jump to 1099misc, even if you don't have a 1099
You will be taken there to enter your 1099 information. Go through each page and answer the questions carefully.
