Generally, if a business has no income/expenses and that business is closed in the same tax year it's opened, then there's no need to report anything. However, that's not always true. it depends on what kind of business it was. Single member LLC? Multi-member LLC? Partnership? S-Corp? C-Corp? Joint Venture? Something else?
