Since you have already entered the 10 months coverage from your 1095-A. The system will not calculate any penalty because your gap period without coverage is less than 3 months.
To enter Health Insurance information, please follow these steps using your Desktop/ CD/ Download version.
- Click on Federal Taxes tab
- Then, click on the Health Insurance tab just below it
- Select I'll pick which months I had it (see Slide 1 attached)
- Click on Continue
- Check all the boxes except Nov and Dec (see Slide 2 attached)
- Click on Continue
- Select the reason for the 2 months (see Slide 3 attached)
- Click Continue. The next page should tell you "Based on your situation, the penalty has been waived."
- Then, click on Continue to answer the questions through the interview pages
- You will come to a page asking for type of plan, select the 1095-A. Then, the following page will ask for the detail of the 1095-A information, Besure to fill out exactly from the information on your form (see Slide 4 attached)
- Then, click on Continue to save your work
