Can 1099 misc direct other income to line 21 on 1040? instead of to line 12 on 1040?

my 1099 misc income is other, not business. but turbo keeps sending it to business line 12 on 1040 and wants me to use schedule c.   I want the other income to go to line 21 on the 1040. how do I delete the income from line 12?
