Family HDHP in covers the primary person and one of more others.
Your spouse has family HDHP coverage.
IRS rules require that if one spouse has family HDHP insurance, the other spouse having self HDHP insurance is ignored for the purpose of determining the HSA contribution limits. You both must select family HDHP insurance. You will be limited to a HSA contribution limit of $6750 for 2016. This amount may be allocated any way you decide between each HSA.
