Government Paid Portion of Move Cross County - How Do I Determine What I CanClaim? 1040 or 1040A?

This move was 800 miles cross country.

Govt paid the following PCS moving allowances:                                            Temporary Quarters lump sum = $4,100 (taxable) (out of this I did spend $3,200 on hotel lodging and food)                                                                                Portion of Real Estate Closing Costs (taxable)                                                          Misc Expenses lump sum = $1,300 (not sure if this is taxable)                              Movement of Household Goods - Paid by Govt Bill of Lading/Actual Expenses - I  saw no bill for this, but can I claim these costs still on my taxes?              Withholding Tax Allowance I already received an amount to offset the additional  income (not sure what total will be since I havent seen the PCS W2 but  apparently this is reimbursed based on IRS tax table.

The Govt paid everything up front, but I did incur over $3,000 in hotel lodging costs out of the $4,100 temporary quarters allowance.  Can this ~$3,000 be claimed?

I also sold my home two months prior to moving and I paid reator fees of $7,000, can this be claimed?

Also paid 3 months of temporary storage rental that was not reimbursed; can this be claimed?

I will have "earned" more because of the additional $$ that I got that is considered taxable (but was offset by the Withholding Tax Allowamce that paid me back for hopefully most of this, figured off of IRS tax table).

I will apparently get a separate PCS W2 that includes the taxable portions the Govt paid.

Am I missing something?  I always heard that a PCS move helped you tax wise but I'm not seeing how because I dont see what I can claim since everything was reimbursed by Govt.

I'm not very tax-savvy because my taxes have been straighforward in the past. and still are other than this move this year.

Anybody out there who has PCSd within US working for Govt gotten any tax breaks when the Govt paid the majority of costs associated with move like they did with me?

Do I have to file a 1040 or does 1040A have info to enter for costs incurred related to moving?

I'd like to do my taxes myself this year, but scared i'm missing something.  I want to get all the breaks that I can.  Thank you
