If you deleted a W-2 that you imported from last year's return it cannot be recovered. You will have to re-enter the employer and income information. You have the option to enter it manually or you can import your 2017 W-2 into the tax return (either by taking a photo or importing from the employer) without having to type all of your information in.
To add a new W-2 manually:
- Sign into your TurboTax Online account and select “Take me to my return”.
- On the left menu bar, select "Federal".
- Select the "Wages and Income” link in the top middle part of the screen.
- Click "Edit/Add" next "Job (W-2)" to enter this information.
