How can I get TurboTax 2017 premier working again?

TuboTax 2017 Premier stopped working sometime ago, I think it was after the last update.  Today was the day I set aside to resolve the issue, with no luck whatsoever.  I'm fairly technical and have diligently searched and tried everything I can find on AnswerXchange,  I have uninstalled, reinstalled from the disc, the program then automatically updates.  It then stops working when I launch TurboTax.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled from the disc, and then updated the software manually, restarted and then the software updates the state program.  When I restart TurboTax, it stops working.  I have uninstalled, used the system file checker (all is well) and after install from the disc and update, it stops working.   In all cases the updates appear to end successfully.  The one thing that is weird...
