As a self-employed individual, you will enter the amount you paid an attorney on Line 17, Part II, Expenses, of the Form 1040 Schedule C.
You can enter the amount by:
- Typing Schedule C in Search
- Scrolling to Expenses
- Clicking the Add expenses for this work button
- Scrolling and selecting Legal and professional fees, then continue
- Enter the description and the amount, click Continue
