You can deduct your TurboTax fees from your federal refund (
not your state refund). This option is called
Refund Processing.
There are several situations where you won't be able to use the Refund Processing Service, including:
- You're filing a paper return.
- You don't have a federal refund.
- Your federal refund isn't enough to cover the fees.
- You're filing with a foreign address.
- Form 8888 is in your return.
- You already used the service when you initially e-filed your federal return.
