"I am student on F1 and have 2 dependents on F2. I have been in US for more than 5 years now but my dependents have only just arrived a couple of months back. Of the two dependents one is my kid (minor) and the other is my wife. I want to know if I can/should file federal tax jointly or seprately and who can I claim as dependent in either case. TIA"
