Here's a shortcut to the Dividend Income section to enter a 1099-DIV:
- Open your return, if not already open.
- In the left menu column click on TAX TOOLS, then TOOLS.
- In the Tools window, chose blue button TOPIC SEARCH.
- Enter the term 1099-DIV without quotes.
- In the topic list, find the highlighted term 1099-DIV (or select it, if not highlighted).
- Then click GO.
- Next screen asks: "Did you receive any dividend income?"
- Continue through that interview.
