Get your taxes done using TurboTax
If you use and/or have used the CD version of TurboTax for this year and/or past years, your tax files are located in the documents/turbotax directory. They all have a filename extension of .tax20nn where "nn" is the last two digits of the tax year. If you don't back this files up to restore them when done here, then you will "NOT" be able to import data from your past year's tax file, into your 2018 tax return. Additionally, the absolute only place on this planet where those tax files exist, is on your computer. So that's why I stress backups. All those priceless family pictures in the pictures folder? You're gonna lose them, as well as all your contacts (if any) in the contacts folder. I just want to be clear on this, so you're not blaming me when you discover those wedding pics you intended to get professionally printed and framed, are lost.
Oh crap!
I just now looked to see what version of Windows you are on, and see you're on a MAC. Hey @macuser_22 you're needed! I know the issue is a corrupt computer user profile. But I don't know the procedure for fixing this on a MAC computer.
