The only reason the program wants your AGI (Adjusted Gross Income) from last year is to confirm your identity.The only penalty may be that you can't E File.
PS If you you have the computer or the file from last year, this years program will know the AGI (but you probably need to do the transfer) The file name will end in .tax2017
